The winner of this year's Munster Rugby 'Sponsor for a Day' competition has urged all businesses in the provinces to apply for next year's competition.

CEO of CelgenTek, Paul Burke, said it was an experience to remember for everyone involved in his company when their company name adorned the famous Munster shirt for last Saturday's win over Stade Francais at Thomond Park.

The competition, run in association with Munster title sponsors Bank of Ireland, saw the Shannon-based company emerge victorious from this year's applicants and claim the €50,000-valued prize.

CelgenTek are an international orthopaedics company that develop and manufacture products for patients with compromised bone.

According to Burke, last weekend's experience has given everyone in the company a massive lift, none of which could have been possible without the support of Munster Rugby and Bank of Ireland.

"Today we were part of it, I can feel the electricity going though me. If you are thinking of entering this competition I would tell you to go for it wholeheartedly," he said.

"This is a great opportunity for bonding, it's a great opportunity to bring everybody in your business together. It's a great opportunity to go places you never would have gone, meet people you never would have met.

"And to end up standing here, like us, proud as punch, that our name is going to be with Bank of Ireland, on this day in Thomond Park. As Munster people, this is where you want it to be."
