Those involved in the U17 clubs extended squad played Connacht U17s in Tuam RFC, where emerging players put their technical and tactical abilities to the test against their Connacht counterparts. In total, 37 players participated across three games of 25 minutes. The extended squad will be reduced over the coming weeks ahead of the annual Summer Talent Camp.

Schools

The U17 schools side held an internal trial game in Limerick Institute of Technology, a fixture that provided the curtain-raiser for the U18 schools game against France (France winning 36-20). The U17 schools contingent have recently been involved in the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup and their performances in the cup and over the coming weeks of screening will determine the make-up of the development squad this summer.
