Last year's beaten finalists Crescent College follow reigning champions Christians out of the competition at the quarter-final stage after a convincing defeat by Presentation College.

The Cork side started strongly and after Crescent flanker Fintan Coleman was sin-binned, they mauled Billy Scannell over the line.

Crescent pulled back a penalty from Mark Shanahan, but Pres reasserted their authority just after half-time when Gary Bradley sent Sam O'Donovan over.

Peter Sylvester added a drop-goal to make it a two-score game and despite losing Fitzgerald and Sylvester to the sin-bin in quick succession, PBC held out, with Seán French nailing a late penalty.
