It has really been noticeable how many younger players have been given their chance by Anthony Foley in the first few weeks of this season.

Jack O'Donoghue has played a huge part so far at No 7 and Jordan Coghlan has got his chance too in the back-row, which is a real positive for the pack going forward.

But it's the backs that seem to have set the pulses racing among the Munster faithful. I've been hugely impressed by Stephen Fitzgerald and at just 19 years old I see a massive future for him in the game.

He had a tough day last week, but he was excellent when he scored a try on his debut away to Ospreys. He's similar to Keith Earls in a lot of ways, and has a lot of talented guys around him in the Munster set-up who can bring him on further.

Elsewhere we've seen Bill Johnston and David Johnston rack up the minutes, while the Scannell brothers, Rory and Niall, have both done very well when they've been called upon.

It's probably going to be a year to two before we see the benefit of this experience, but getting that kind of game time into lads in a winning environment is huge.
