Pupils from St Mary's, Derrinacahara, the Model School, Dunmanway, Ballinacarriga and Togher have been enjoying the programme.

Students have played their classmates in a number of games, learning new skills and rugby techniques. At the end of the session each school will receive a 'Play Rugby Pack' consisting of cones, balls and bibs.

The 'Play Rugby' programme encourages the effective development of non-contact mini rugby through schools by providing them with equipment and coach education.

School teachers are encouraged to continue with this initiative and assist with the development of rugby at primary school level. On completion of the course, the school will be presented with a 'Play Rugby' equipment pack which contains six rugby balls, cones and bibs.

If your school would like to enter the 'Play Rugby' programme, please email info@munsterrugby.ie
