Axel's 11-year-old son Tony started a thoughtful campaign called #8masses4no8 following his father's untimely passing, urging people to attend Sunday mass for the next eight weeks, starting today, and post photos of lit candles remembering both his father and others who have left us.

People from all over Ireland and as far away as England and Germany have posted images of candles burning on social media today.
