Oliver's brace seals B&I Cup final berth
Munster A 25 Ealing Trailfinders 9
Conor Oliver's two tries helped Munster A reach a first B&I Cup final since 2012 in a convincing victory over English Championship outfit Ealing.
Oliver ran in tries either side of half-time and helped Sam Arnold score an early first, but a serious ankle injury to Bill Johnston marred the win, although Mark Chisholm returned after more than a year out.
Oliver has impressed for the first team, and it was his good work that sent the Arnold over for the opening try after 20 minutes.
Johnston converted for a 10-0 lead, but he was soon stretchered from the field. His brother Dave took over the kicking duties.
Rory Clegg got Ealing off the mark with a 26th-minute penalty, but five minutes from the interval Munster struck again; this time Oliver applied the finishing touches and Munster led 17-9 at the interval.
And four minutes after the restart Oliver wrapped up the win when he ran home an intercept try. Munster A now face London Irish or Jersey in the final.
