Angela has worked in the sales and events industry for over 10 years. She worked for over six years in the commercial department of the RDS in Dublin before returning home to her native Limerick and joining Thomond Park Stadium.
When did you join Munster?
I joined in July 2012.
What do you do?
I am responsible for developing new, and growing existing, business within the stadium. The main aim of my job is to bring in as much non-match events into the stadium.
Some of these events include conferences, meetings, launches and dinners to name a few.
My role also involves actively promoting and marketing Thomond Park Stadium on an ongoing basis.
What is the best part of your job?
The diversity of the role is one of the most enjoyable aspects.
We host over 200 events each year in the stadium, each event is different to the next, which makes our jobs very interesting. We are a small team in the stadium and we work very closely in ensuring all events run smoothly.
The most satisfying part of my job is undoubtedly when clients are happy with their experience at Thomond Park Stadium.
That is down to the excellence and professionalism of the event team on site.
Most memorable match?
Of course I believe all games at Thomond Park Stadium are great!
But my favourite was the Heineken Cup quarter-final last year between Munster and Toulouse. The atmosphere was just electric in the stadium, and the support behind the team was just amazing.
