The Pro12 is back in action this weekend, albeit with another break next weekend, but it will still be another fortnight before the English Premiership kicks off and the French Top 14 resumes.

The Champions Cup kicks off in six weeks and clubs in England have been busy trying to find matches to get them into shape for the competitive action.

They will play four rounds of their Premiership before the European action starts.

Tomorrow Leicester Tigers will host Loughborough University in a friendly at Welford Road before they will play their final match in the Kings of the North tournament next weekend at home to Sale Sharks.

The Tigers scored a 30-28 win away to Newcastle Falcons last weekend, having opened up a 22-0 lead in the opening half with tries from Harry Thacker, Seremai Bai and Riccardo Brugnara before Newcastle cut the interval deficit to 22-14.

The hosts got the margin down to a point before Leicester wrapped up the bonus point with a try from Freddie Burns.

Treviso, who Munster will face in the opening game of the Champions Cup at Thomond Park on November, make their second trip to Ireland this season when they take on Ulster this evening.

The Italians are looking for their first win of the campaign, having lost their opening games away to Munster and at home to Edinburgh.
