Inter-pros head north
Munster's Interprovincial Series kicks of next weekend with the U-20 and U-19 squads travelling to Queens University on Friday, September 4 to take on their Ulster counterparts.
All squads - U-20s, U-19s, U-18 Clubs and U-18 Schools -took part in a five-week intense residential Talent Camp programme over the summer in a bid to hone their skills ahead of the inter-pro competitions.
The U-18 Clubs and U-20 squads recently entertained the Irish Exiles at the Mardyke, Cork in warm-up fixtures, with both sides winning in impressive fashion.
Last Monday the Munster U-19 squad edged out Connacht in a friendly at Coonagh.
The U-18 Clubs side were narrowly defeated last weekend by the Welsh U-18 and British Colleges U-19 champions Coleg y Cymoedd in Cardiff as they look ahead to their opening Interprovincial fixture taking on Leinster in Donnybrook.
The U-20s host Connacht in Rosbrien today (2.00) in a friendly.
The U-18 Schools travel to Gloucester this weekend to take on the Gloucester Academy.

Temple Hill to host Cork Charity Cup
Cork Constitution FC will host a revamped Cork Charity Cup event tomorrow at Temple Hill, Cork.
Seven South Munster senior clubs will take part in the one-day round-robin tournament, along with Munster Junior League champions Clonmel in a rugby spectacle not to be missed.
Midleton and hosts Cork Con will kick off proceedings at 1.0 along with fellow Cork clubs Highfield and UCC as all sides warm up for the All-Ireland League which begins on September 12.
Clubs will play three 15-minute a-side matches over the course of the day.
There will be no penalty kicks at goal and all conversions will be taken by a drop-kick, with the two top points scorers qualifying for the final.
Entry fee for the event is €5 for adults with free admission for school pupils and OAPs.
A BBQ and children's entertainment will be provided on the day.
All proceeds will be donated to the Marymount Hospice, Cork.
