Great start for Munster juniors

The Munster Junior side started their interprovincial campaign last Saturday with an impressive victory away to Leinster at Portlaoise.

The side, coached by John O'Neill, produced an outstanding second half performance to defeat their Leinster counterparts 43-20.

They scored six tries, with Dean O'Brien getting two, and Sean Herlihy, Warren Kelly, Dan Horgan and Nicky Irwin one each.

John Lillis converted five of the tries and also added a drop goal.

They now face defending champions Ulster, who began their campaign with a 33-20 win over Connacht, tomorrow in Clonakilty RFC.
