Munster Rugby recently held a training day for developing U-15 and U-18 girls' teams throughout the province.

The day was held in Limerick IT with approximately 100 girls in attendance. Players represented Kanturk, Newport, Garryowen, Bruff, Ballina/Killaloe and Clanwilliam - all currently establishing or re-establishing their age-grade girls sections.

The focus was catch pass and decision making with each of the teams playing games against each other to put into practice what they learned on the day.

The event was coached by Munster development officers Ray Gadsden, John O'Neill, Andy Brace, Kenneth McNamara, Amanda Greensmith and Munster Women's player Deirbhile Nic A Bhaird.

The day was very enjoyable for all players involved while club coaches made new contacts with a view to organising training sessions and games.
