Munster will begin the defence of their women's inter-provincial title with a clash against Connacht at the Sportsground.

The floodlit game is pencilled in for Saturday, November 30 at 8.0, with the Girls in Red's first home game scheduled for the following Sunday against Ulster at Clonmel RFC (1.0).

Munster then will have to manage a six-day turnaround for their final match of the series against Leinster, which will take place at Thomond Park on Saturday, December 14 at 1.0.

Both Leinster and Munster will play warm-up games against an Exiles selection that may feature some of Ireland's Grand Slam winners, including Larissa Muldoon, Lynne Cantwell and Claire Molloy.

Leinster face the Exiles on November 22 under lights at the home of the Ireland Women's team in Ashbourne RFC, before the Exiles then travel to Portlaoise to play Munster two days later.

Last season, tries from Niamh Kavanagh, Ashling Hutchings and Gillian Bourke saw Munster dethrone the defending champions Leinster, with a 15-14 success at Ashbourne seeing them finish the inter-pro season unbeaten.

And with this season teed up for another similar final-day decider, Munster will be extra keen to get their campaign off to a winning start away to Connacht.
