The German multinational sports giants have been the official kit manufacturer for the team since 2007, and that has now been extended until at least the end of the 2020-'21 season.

It is the third extension they have signed with Munster since the partnership began seven years ago, and the new five-year deal starts from July 2016.

It ensures Munster Rugby is provided with the most technically advanced rugby kit available, and Fitzgerald is thrilled with the deal.

"This is great news for the province and we are delighted to once again continue our partnership with a world-leading sports brand such as adidas.

"Their investment in kit technology and production ensures we have access to the highest quality rugby apparel each season.

"We have had an excellent working relationship for the past eight years and we look forward to the next five years together," he said.

Running concurrently with the adidas deal is a brand new five-year exclusive retail agreement with sports retailer Life Style Sports.

They have 19 stores in Munster, with a further 41 outlets nationwide, and have been the official retail partner to the province since 2013.

The new deal means Life Style Sports have acquired the global rights to retail licensed Munster Rugby kit and accessories. That will also begin from the end of next season, and is set to end in 2020-'21.
