A fan was escorted from the stand at Thomond Park by Gardai during Munster's PRO 12 semi-final win this evening for reportedly jeering during a kick at goal.

Munster ran out 23-3 winners against the Ospreys to book a place in next Saturday's PRO 12 final, with the curious incident involving the fan occurring during the first half as opposition out-half Dan Biggar lined up a penalty.

According to reports from the ground, a fan shouted during the kick, and after the stewards confronted him about the behaviour, a garda came to escort the supporter from the stand.

Munster have since said that the fan was ejected for verbal abuse and allegedly being drunk and disorderly.

Meanwhile, Gardai said that 'a male was released for the purpose of a drug search at approximately 7.30pm this evening the 20th May 2017'.
