'Driving Elite Performance The Munster Way' at UCC

Munster Rugby will host a one-day Strength & Conditioning Conference in association with the Mardyke Arena, University College Cork on Saturday, February 1 (9.00am).

The conference aims to attract all coaches involved in Strength and Conditioning across all sports codes from underage to senior level. The conference will highlight the significance of strength and conditioning at all levels of rugby, focusing on how coaches can cope with the demands of their players.

'Driving Elite Performance The Munster Way' will be theory based with breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon. Topics will include Strength and Speed training at Munster Rugby -- an integrated model; Conditioning at Munster Rugby; the technical side of Speed and Training the Age Grade Player.

Tutors on the day will include Munster Rugby professional squad coaches Aled Walters (Acting Head of Fitness), Aidan O'Connell (Strength & Conditioning Coach), Feargal O'Callaghan (Head of Age Grade Strength & Conditioning and Strength & Conditioning Education) as well as many other guest speakers.

Tea/Coffee and Lunch will be provided for all as part of the fee for the day. The early-bird rate of €75 is finished today. The full rate of €85 applies thereafter.
