The Munster Rugby Development Department have hosted a number of Coaching Courses and Concussion Courses recently, with plenty more being held in the coming weeks.

The next Stage 1 (Mini) Coaching Course takes place in Limerick IT tomorrow and Sunday, with the course fully booked.

A Stage 2 (Foundation) Coaching Course will be held at the MRSC Bar in Thomond Park on Friday, October 7 and Saturday, October 8, with just 10 places remaining.

A Stage 1 (Mini) Coaching Course will also take place in Clonmel next month - Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15.

Munster Rugby, in conjunction with the IRFU, recently held two Concussion Workshops in Cork and Limerick.

The courses took place at Old Crescent RFC and CBC. Tralee IT will also host a Concussion Workshop next month (Wednesday, October 12, 7.30pm).

The workshops are presented by IRFU First Aid and Injury Prevention Coordinator Shane Mooney and are designed to educate coaches, parents, players and referees on the dangers of concussion and how to recognise it.

All club and school coaches are encouraged to attend the workshops which are free of charge.
