The Munster U-17 and U-18 Development Squads recently took on their Connacht counterparts at Garryowen FC in a series of training matches.

Both Munster squads played two 50-minute matches as part of their ongoing Player Development Programme ahead of this year's Interprovincial series.

The Munster Regional Development programme will continue on a weekly basis within the four regions including skill development and strength & conditioning training modules.

The U-18 development squad will undergo continuous screening until Easter, at which time head coach Brendan O'Connor will finalise his squad for the interprovincial series.

A 'talent identification' process has also been put in place where players are being identified during this season's Bank Of Ireland Munster U-16 and U-18 club competitions.
