Girls Rugby has recently got underway at Clonakilty RFC in County Cork.

Over the last few weeks the girls section has continually grown with players taking part in age groups of under-13, under-15 and under-18.

Munster rugby recently hosted a successful workshop for the girls focusing on passing and continuity, co-ordinated by Community Rugby Officer Eugene McCarthy.

The majority of the girls are all new to the sport of rugby, however with many of them coming from various other sporting backgrounds their skill levels are adapting to rugby very quickly.

Should you require any details on girls or women's rugby within the province please contact Women's Community Rugby Officer Amanda Greensmith by emailing amandagreensmith@munsterrugby.ie.
