Munster role for O'Donovan

NIALL O'DONOVAN will replace Shaun Payne as Munster's team manager next season.

A former forwards coach for the province and for Ireland, the Shannon man has most recently been involved with the province's 'A' team.

O'Donovan has been handed a two-year deal, replacing former full-back Payne, who has returned to South Africa. He will work within a new coaching set-up alongside Rob Penney, Anthony Foley and Simon Mannix.

"Niall has had a long association with Munster and he brings a wealth of experience," said chief executive Garrett Fitzgerald.
