Defeat last weekend put a dent in Munster 'A's hopes of advancing to the quarter-final but they remain in with a chance should they bounce back when they welcome London Scottish to CBC Lansdowne, Cork this afternoon (2.0).

Munster came up short against Yorkshire Carnegie last time out and coach Mick O'Driscoll has responded by making three changes.

Fresh after his European debut against Stade Francais, academy loosehead prop Liam O'Connor returns to the front-row alongside hooker Kevin O'Byrne who also comes into the side.

Sean Doyle will depart the province next week following his three-month spell in which he failed to make a single senior appearance and he starts in the back-row.

The only change to the back-line sees Darren Sweetnam come in on the wing and the former Cork hurler will be eager to impress having been given few opportunities to do so this season.

London Scottish are just a point behind Munster and they harbour ambitions of their own of making the knockout stages but home advantage may well tilt what should be a tight affair.

Verdict: Munster 'A'

Munster 'A' - D Johnston; S Fitzgerald, D Goggin, C Bohane, D Sweetnam; J Holland, D Williams; L O'Connor, K O'Byrne, P McCabe; L Nicholas, S McCarthy; J Coghlan, S Doyle, S Buckley (capt). Reps: E Rossiter, B Scott, O Lyons, C Oliver, R Foley, N Hodson, S McMahon
