LONDON Irish's recent slump continued in front of a 74,212 crowd at Twickenham yesterday, as Harlequins ran out 28-18 winners in their Premiership clash.
Quins No 8 George Lowe did the damage with a second-half try to secure an important win for director of rugby Conor O'Shea against his former team. Nick Evans' boot had guided his side into a winning position, with Chris Malone keeping Irish in touch.
With Ugo Monye making his comeback, Quins survived a late onslaught from Toby Booth's men, but having turned down penalty chances for a bonus point, Irish left Twickenham empty-handed.
