McAllister ready for 'bruisers'
ULSTER face Aironi this afternoon confident of retaining their 100pc record on Italian soil. They tackle the men in black at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella knowing that on four occasions last season, they put 14 tries on Aironi and conceded only one.
Following their confident 28-14 win over Glasgow last week, coach Brian McLaughlin has wisely kept changes down to a minimum, with the hard-working Tim Barker coming into the engine room.
Aironi have only registered one victory since joining their Celtic neighbours -- and that was a home win over Connacht. In front of their home crowd for the first time this season, they will be keen to gain another Irish scalp.
As usual, it will be up front where it all starts for the Italians and Ulster's up-and-coming blond bomber of a prop Paddy McAllister is ready for some real action.
"The Italians play a very physical game and that will suit me," McAllister said.
"No matter if you're playing their third-string team, you are always going to be up against a big bruiser of a guy."
