Wanderers who have recently returned to the senior ranks of Irish club rugby are building a vibrant under age section within the club. As recently as last week their U-14 side won the league in an exciting final against a very good Barnhall team.

The blitz was attended by over 180 players from two schools, St Louis of Rathmines and City Quay from Gloucester St.

Throughout the day there was some excellent tag rugby on show with all players getting involved and having fun which is a massive part of Leinster Rugby's Community programme.

A number of teachers felt left out and could not resist joining in on the fun. Unfortunately they were out shone by their more energetic students. Wanderers RFC helped make it a great day for all involved. Merrion Rd as always was a great venue to host both schools.

Wanderers welcome all new players of various ages and abilities to their club. If you are interested in joining their underage section you should contact youth coordinator Jim Doddy on 086 7346420 for training times.
