Despite freezing conditions on Saturday morning, Wicklow Rugby's mini teams hosted their nearest neighbours Arklow RFC to Ashtown Lane for another entertaining South East Blitz.

Wicklow's U-8s welcomed two teams from Arklow with each team playing three great matches.

At U-12s level the matches are always strongly contested with both clubs accommodating development players who are new to the game.

The second match was between Wicklow U-12 White Squad and Arklow, another highly entertaining match.

As mini fixtures are not competitive, scores are not recorded but this didn't stop both teams playing great rugby. These young players are moving up to youth rugby next September.

On Sunday, the Wicklow U-10 Boys played at the Aviva Provincial Mini Blitz in Carlow RFC. Playing St Mary's, Portarlington, Naas and Barnhall, the Wicklow U-10s were fantastic ambassadors for their club, winning three out of their four matches.
