This is the third year that these two clubs have met and the bonds between the teams are now very strong with return visits to be arranged for next season.

The Liceo players were accommodated by Wicklow U-12 families which ensured the weekend's rugby had a social and friendly aspect throughout.

Rugby Blitzes were organised by Wicklow for both Saturday and Sunday with plenty of matches played.

Saturday was a 10-a-side blitz with over 130 kids from four clubs fielding 12 teams. Wexford Wanderers, Pres Bray also participated.

Sunday's rugby was two 15-a-side matches. Wicklow were joined by Arklow RFC who along with Liceo were playing their first 15-a-side match at this level.

After two action packed days, it was time to say 'adiós' to the Liceo players after an exciting and hugely enjoyable trip to Wicklow.

This event was truly a great success for Wicklow RFC and allowed the young players appreciate the close bonds within the international rugby community.

A huge amount of thanks to all the players, parents and coaches for being part of a memorable weekend.
