Leinster Rugby is delighted to announce a series of seminars that are all free of charge for anyone volunteering in marketing, communications or social media within a club or school. A Communications Seminar was held earlier this week and it was a great success with clubs from around the province attending.

Seminar dates

• October 1 (Thursday) - Social Media Seminar

• October 13 (Tuesday) - Marketing Seminar

All seminars will begin at 7pm in The Players' Lounge in the RDS and will last approximately one hour 40 minutes.

The Social Media seminar will deal with the following headings: Social Media Strategy; Managing Content and implementation across different channels; Social media policy and IRFU guidelines; Twitter: live match tweeting, interaction , campaign messaging; Facebook: content, video, insights, sponsored posts.

The Marketing seminar should also be useful and covers the following areas: Marketing Strategy for a rugby club; Analysing where your club is at now; Seeking sponsorship - where to start-evaluating club assets etc; Sponsorship proposals - how and who should be involved; Delivering the sponsors' rights - local sponsor activation; Fundraising: Preparing to fundraise -creating a case to support, analyse and plan

The seminar will be hosted by Elma Beirne, Domestic Marketing, with a number of impressive guest speakers including Stephen McNamara, Director of Communications IRFU and Gavin Coffey, Head of Client Services, New Slang (digital agency).

We would encourage anybody in a club involved in marketing, communications, social media and sponsorship to attend whichever seminar is most closely associated with your role.

To book your place now, contact jacintaorourke@gmail.com by stating your name, club and position within your club/school.
