Kill o the Grange and St Brigids girls and have been taking part in the Leinster Rugby Play Rugby programme over the past five weeks learning the fundamental skills of the game with the main theme of having fun while they do it.

It all culminated in a big school blitz where they got to pit their skills against each other.

The games were played at a fast pace with some fantastic skill on show and great team spirit, with a handshake and a well done after every game between both teams and the referee.

We had Hakas and war dances as well as a rare riverdance - we're not sure the national sides will be integrating it any time soon!

All kids and schools involved embraced the Play Rugby programme and will be keeping tag rugby active in their schools as well as sending teachers on the new Leinster Rugby teachers' training.

If you would like to get your school involved in the programme or get your teachers trained up on tag rugby please contact Stephen Costelloe on 0879844168 or dlrccro@leinsterrugby.ie
