The weather even smiled upon them by staying dry as they came with families and friends to watch their girls playing at the RDS.

A great display of team work, supportive play, and rugby skills was shown, with Athy playing Tullamore at the North Stand end and Wicklow taking on Cill Dara at the South Stand end.

On the basis of the skills on show, the future is certainly bright for women's rugby!
