Leinster too strong for Moseley
Moseley 24 Leinster 'A' 49
A display of forward dominance saw Leinster 'A' book their place in the quarter-finals of the B&I Cup as victory at Moseley made it five wins out of five in Pool 1.
The English Championship side simply couldn't cope with Leinster's driving maul, with five of the visitors' seven tries coming in that fashion, a 35-7 interval lead ensuring progression was all but sealed by half-time.
The pattern was set inside the first seven minutes as the pack drove 30 metres to allow Dan Leavy to score the opening try, before a repeat performance saw Bryan Byrne crash over.
Sam Brown's try got Moseley on the scoreboard but Leinster always remained in control, and Steve Crosbie's break set up Adam Byrne to race into the corner.
Two more tries followed before half-time, with Dave O'Connor securing the bonus point from a lineout drive before Byrne collected a high kick, offloading for Leavy to complete his second try.
Crosbie completed Leinster's scoring with the seventh and final try, breaking away from a forward drive to power his way over. Cathal Marsh marked a perfect day from the tee with his seventh successful conversion.
