Late tries see Carlow's U-13s collect Division 1 Cup crown

Carlow's U-13s secured the Leinster Division 1 Cup at Naas on Sunday with a pulsating 31-19 win over Dundalk.

Dundalk went 5-0 ahead with a try in the third minute but Carlow scored twice to lead 12-5 at the interval. Dundalk scored two converted tries early in the second half to retake a 19-12 lead.

But the final quarter belonged to Carlow who ran in three more tries following good passing movements. Carlow tries were scored by Fiacra Fitzpatrick (3), Liam Foot and Barry Gray. Scrumhalf Alan Owens converted three tries, one from the touchline.
