New Ross RFC launched their latest team last Saturday as the Dunbrody Warriors were presented to a large crowd in Southknock, together with the patron of the side, Ireland star Tadhg Furlong.

The team has been training all season under the guidance of Laura Doyle, a member of New Ross Ladies team and Nicky Murphy, club CCRO. It is the club's intention to increase the numbers of players from the town and surrounding areas next season and arrange some matches.

Also present at the event was Fran Ronan from Sports Active, Wexford County Council, who has offered great support at development stage.

In a short ceremony in the clubhouse, club president, Michael Bailey welcomed everyone and congratulated the team and mentors and all concerned.

In particular, the president welcomed Eddie Mernagh from JCE Auto/Aeolus and thanked him for his generous sponsorship of the team.

Best of luck to everyone from all at Leinster Rugby!
