Sean O'Brien can't have played too many games for Leinster 'A' down through the years but he gets a chance to get some much needed game time when they begin their B&I Cup campaign in Richmond this afternoon.

The Ireland flanker hasn't featured for the province since last January after he suffered a hamstring injury against France in the Six Nations.

Should O'Brien come through the game unscathed, Leo Cullen has already said that he is likely to be in the frame for next week's Champions Cup clash against Montpellier.

Jack Conan (foot) is another senior player who returns from a lengthy lay-off and he starts at No 8. Ireland U-20 captain James Ryan has the ability to make a huge impact in this tournament and don't be surprised to see him feature for Leinster very soon.

Ryan's international team-mates, Huge Keenan and Jimmy O'Brien, also start and so too does Jack Kelly whose performances lit up last season's Schools Cup. Hayden Triggs adds more experience to the pack. This is a competition that Leinster usually thrive in and this year's crop will be expected to do the same.

Leinster 'A' - A Byrne; H Keenan, J Kelly, J O'Brien, B Daly; R Byrne, N McCarthy; P Dooley, B Byrne, J Loughman; H Triggs, J Ryan; P Timmins (capt), S O'Brien, J Conan. Reps: S McNulty, O Heffernan, D O'Connor, M Keegan, W Connors, C Rock, J Larmour.
