Tom Daly chipped in with 23 points as Leinster 'A' coasted to victory over the Scarlets Premiership Select on Saturday at Donnybrook.

In a perfect response to their loss to Nottingham in the previous round, Leinster racked up over 60 points in the competition for the second time this season for a bonus-point victory, and now look a strong bet to progress from Pool 4.

The province scored 10 tries, with Daly, who touched down twice and kicked five conversions and a penalty, the standout performer.

Daly got the hosts off the mark following an early salvo from the Welsh outfit, when he took a neat delivery from scrum-half Charlie Rock to dot down in the corner.

The Carlow native completed his brace soon after, before prop Andrew Porter crossed the whitewash off a strong maul.

The Scarlets were soon a man down with Steff Hughes in the bin, and Leinster were quick to exploit their numerical advantage .

Rock put Hugo Keenan in space with a deft pass and the full-back raced over, before the scrum-half's box-kick allowed Peadar Timmins ample time to chase it down and crash over. Jack Power's score then ended the tie as a contest.

Leinster led 41-3 at the break and stuck first after the restart through Jordan Larmour prior to Josh MacLeod getting over for the Scarlets.

Max Deegan registered another for Hugh Hogan's side, before Larmour got his second and replacement Jack Kelly then topped off a ruthless display.

Leinster A will be confident of mustering a similar performance when the sides meet again on Saturday at Carmarthen Park.
