Rachael, who received her award from president Robert McDermott, has not only delivered quality PR for her club, County Carlow FC but she also heads up the Leinster Women's Rugby PR committee.

This season has been a landmark season for the promotion of women's rugby in Leinster with regular updates being given on the club scene across the various leagues.

Each step from season openers to the presentation of trophies was mapped out by Rachael and her team to ensure that coverage was consistent across all platforms including Twitter, Facebook, the Leinster Rugby website and the weekly Irish Independent supplement.

Rachael also keeps a close eye on how every club is promoting girls' and women's rugby and she is always on hand to offer support.

Within her own club it has been a really busy year culminating in Carlow's hosting of the Bank of Ireland Provincial Towns Cup semi-final encounter between Wicklow and Clondalkin.

Rachael said: "I've seen first-hand the outstanding work that is being done by PROs all over Leinster and so to be chosen really fills me with pride."
