The second episode, which went live on Wednesday, features Adam Byrne, who scored his first try for the Leinster senior team last weekend against Zebre and was also announced on Tuesday as having signed his first senior contract.

Kildare native Byrne gives us his take on the delicate balancing act between being a full-time engineering student in UCD and a member of the Academy, in addition to lining out with the senior team, the 'A's, with UCD in the AIL and with the Ireland Sevens as they go in search of a spot at the Olympics.

A busy man!

Recorded by the Videos on the Net team who produce all the Leinster and IRFU video content, the Leinster TV crew had access to pre-season and mid-season pitch sessions, gym sessions and team meetings as three Academy players and one senior player were followed over the course of a few months to get a flavour of life in the Leinster Academy.

The players in question Tom Daly, Peter Dooley, Adam Byrne (all currently Academy players) and Josh van der Flier (a member of last year's Academy squad) also all live together in the same house and they offered Leinster TV access to their lives at home, in college in UCD and of course in and around the Leinster team environment as they prepared for AIL club games, Ireland Sevens games, B&I Cup games with the Leinster 'A' team, or Guinness Pro12 and Champions Cup games with the Leinster senior team.

The next episode of 'The Academy' featuring Tom Daly will be available to watch on at midday on Wednesday, February 24, with Van der Flier to follow the week after in the final episode on Wednesday, March 2. #TheAcademy - watch it all and exclusively on
