Brave U-11s do Wicklow proud on Belfast trip
Wicklow RFC's U-11s headed north last Saturday morning to take part in the Four Nations Festival hosted by Malone RFC in Belfast. Setting out early on Saturday, 15 boys and their coaches took on teams from Northern Ireland and England.
They played five tough matches. Physically, this was the biggest challenge the boys had faced all year as the teams are graded differently, meaning their opponents were six months older than the Wicklow lads.
However, the Wicklow lads rose to the challenge and played really well adding grit and determination to the skills they have been honing in training all year and gaining invaluable experience.
Meanwhile, the U-9s and U-10s entertained Bective on Sunday morning.
The minis' season ends this Saturday, May 6, with the last day of training concluding with presentations to the players.
