Leinster fuming as cover refused

LEINSTER are privately fuming after another request for additional players was turned down by the Players Advisory Group last week.

The Leinster management were hoping to recruit to provide cover for the four back-line players involved in the Six Nations campaign, especially as the province will have two rearranged Magners League fixtures within the next two months against Connacht and Glasgow.

Adding fuel to the fire is the perception that Munster have, apart from one instance, had all the requests for additional players granted in recent months.

However, there are those within Irish rugby circles who will argue that Leinster should, instead, be relying on players that are already in their squad. DK
