SHONTAYNE HAPE is the latest in a long line of southern hemisphere mercenaries using the Six Nations as a means of picking up a quick buck because they couldn't cut it 'back home' -- joining fellow New Zealanders Riki Flutey and Dylan Hartley in Martin Johnson's squad.
There are exceptions to the rule -- such as Scotland's Sean Lineen, England's Mike Catt and Ireland's Andy Ward -- who commit to a life in their adopted country, but there are many more who view temporary nationality as a handy ATM machine. So much so, that the greatest difficulty in selecting a Six Nations 'Guns for Hire' XV is deciding who to leave out.
