'What a gentleman': Warren Gatland lauded for generous act of kindness to grandmother on flight
Warren Gatland might not be the most beloved figure among Irish rugby fans but even his most fervent critics have to respect the Kiwi for his nice gesture to a family when on a recent flight.
The Wales head coach, who has taken a one year sabbatical to take the Lions down to New Zealand for next summer's tour, was recently flying from Auckland to Sydney in business class when a woman and a baby took the seat next to him.
The child's grandmother was sitting at the back of the plane in economy class, but according to a Facebook post from another passenger, Gatland offered his ticket to the elderly woman and sat in the back of the plane instead.
The generous act was confirmed by the Welsh rugby Twitter account, and people have been quick to heap praise on Gatland for his touching gesture.
