POLL: Who do you want to see replace Paul O'Connell as Ireland captain?
They may be the biggest shoes in Irish sport to fill, but Joe Schmidt will soon reveal the man to replace Paul O'Connell as Ireland's rugby captain.
The Munster legend is recovering from the injury suffered in the Rugby World Cup and getting to grips with his new surroundings in France, but back home, the show must go on and one of Schmidt's first tasks for 2016 is to appoint a new captain ahead of the defence of the Six Nations.
Ireland begin their quest for a third championship on the trot when they host Warren Gatland's Wales on Febraury 7th, by which time we will know the identity of the new skipper.
With the leading contenders likely to be Johnny Sexton, Rory Best, Jamie Heaslip, Peter O'Mahony, Sean O'Brien, Conor Murray and perhaps even Robbie Henshaw as an outside bet, who would you choose as O'Connell's successor.
