Keith Earls believes that are Ireland are in a good position to beat the reigning world champions New Zealand for the first time in the country's history.
The 28-year-old didn't feature in the heartbreaking defeat in 2013 but he is aiming to play a key role when Ireland face the All Blacks twice in November.
Despite a summer series loss in South Africa, Earls insists that the number of players who now have Test experience will stand to Ireland as they seek a historic win.
"It'd be great to get a win to shut a few of the New Zealand boys up," he said.
"It would be something nice to tick off to say you've done it, for the country and for all the players that played in the past as well. There's more players used to that Test level, so there's nothing to be worried about if we have injuries in the future."
