Confirmed: Ireland set for June test in New Jersey against USA

The IRFU have today confirmed that the opening game of the upcoming summer tour will take place in New Jersey against USA.

Joe Schmidt's side are set to take on the US Eagles at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on Saturday June 10th.

The team will then fly to Japan for two tests against Jamie Joseph's men, on June 17th and June 24th.

The tour will feature an experimental squad with a large contingent of frontline players set to be on Lions duty at the same time.

"It is great to be returning to the US this summer," IRFU CEO Philip Browne said in a statement The team received a fantastic reception in Chicago last November and USA Rugby provided great support on the ground.
