Brian O'Driscoll has revealed the Irish backline that should start against South Africa
Ireland great Brian O'Driscoll has chosen the backline he believes should start against Springboks in Cape Town on Saturday.
For the first clash of the three-test series, BOD has picked Paddy Jackson over Ian Madigan at flyhalf to partner Conor Murray.
The more established partnership of Robbie Henshaw and Jared Payne in the centre.
He has gone with experience on the wings with Keith Earls and Andrew Trimble his selections for the wide berths.
Exciting Ulster prospect Stuart Olding is O'Driscoll's number 15.
There is no place in the side for the Connacht duo of Tiernan O'Halloran and Matt Healy who were so impressive in their provinces drive to the Pro12 title.
Ireland are without the services of the Leinster quartet of Jonathan Sexton, Luke Fitzgerald, Rob and Dave Kearney as well as Simon Zebo due to injury.
For first Test on Saturday V SA I'm going with Murray, Jackson, Earls, Robbie, Jared, Trimble, Olding as a back line. #new&old— Brian O'Driscoll (@BrianODriscoll) June 6, 2016
