Australia star Quade Cooper posts foul-mouthed Twitter rant after Argentina win
Michael Cheika’s Australia side won their second straight Rugby Championship game after beating Argentina away last night, but it looks like at least one squad member isn’t entirely happy at the moment.
Quade Cooper started for the Wallabies during last weekend’s 24-20 win over South Africa in Brisbane but watched from the bench in Mendoza last night as his rival Bernard Foley played out-half during their 34-9 bonus point victory.
After the game, Cooper tweeted out an angry message that implied that his commitment had been questioned after being dropped to the bench.
“Invite me to youre [Sic] next team discussion then ask me how much I give a f**k about your team selection? Zero f**ks given...,” Cooper said.
Apologies for any offensive language used on my Twitter feed.. I appreciate the support— Quade Cooper (@QuadeCooper) July 26, 2015
He later deleted the tweet and apologised.
The Queensland Reds out-half has often had a fractured relationship with his international coaches, with former Australia boss Robbie Deans memorably exiling the mercurial Cooper during the visit of the Lions in 2013.
Cooper’s tweet has since been deleted and while some speculated that his account may have been hacked, it wouldn’t be the first time that the playmaker voiced his displeasure with his superiors.
