Munster winger Darren Sweetnam has been tipped for a November debut by all-time leading All Blacks try-scorer and 2008 Heineken Cup champion Doug Howlett.

Sweetnam was one of a shock trio of international call-ups to Joe Schmidt's mini-training camp this week ahead of next month's double New Zealand date - Connacht flyer Niki Adeolokun and Leinster out-half Joey Carbery were the two others.

"He's an exceptional talent," says Howlett. "We've always known that and we're just starting to see the fruits of it.

"He's always been a great athlete. There are some subtleties in rugby but he's learning quickly.

"I like his attitude, the risk that he took coming from hurling, where he was comfortable in. It's a competitive position but he can put himself in the mix."
