10 uncapped players in Ireland Women's rugby squad for Autumn International against England

Ireland Women’s rugby coach Tom Tierney has named 10 uncapped players in his squad to face world champions England in November’s historic Autumn International.

Tierney has called on a host of emerging talent for what will be the first ever autumnal international test  and will be held at 3pm on Saturday, November 14 at the Twickenham Stoop.

The new faces in the squad are Elaine Anthony, Nikki Caughey, Ciara Cooney, Mairead Coyne, Jeamie Deacon, Aine Donnelly, Zoe Grattage, Claire McLaughlin, Cliodhna Moloney and Fiona Reidy.

Tierney said: "We are looking forward to the game in November. It's the first time we have played an Autumn International which is another step in the development in women's rugby. We have an opportunity to have a look at some new players and combinations building towards the 6 nations.”
