How the drama unfolded

2.35: Kick-off at Lansdowne Road and Templeville Road. St Mary's have a two-point cushion.

2.40: Darragh O'Neill is red-carded for Young Munster.

2.46: Matt Healy scores for Lansdowne, they lead 5-0. St Mary's trail Young Munster 3-0.

2.56: Sean Carey adds another Lansdowne try as they lead 12-0, Young Munster's Ger Slattery rumbles over to make it 13-0 in Templeogue.

3.15: Half-time and both front-runners losing. St Mary's are 13-3 down, while Timmy McCoy's try has brought 'Tarf into it at 20-10.

3.40: Mark Sexton's first try brings St Mary's back into it as they trail 16-10, but Clontarf now trail by two points after Richie Lane's try, but he misses the conversion to level it.

3.45: Mark Ronaldson extends Lansdowne's lead to nine, while Willie Staunton makes it 19-10.

3.50: Aaron Dundon crosses for Clontarf to narrow the gap to two, while Gavin Dunne's penalty narrows the gap in Templeogue.

3.55: Noel Reid kicks a penalty and 'Tarf finally lead. Although Dunne closes the deficit, the northsiders will triumph if it stays like this.

4.04: Sexton barrels over from close range to turn the tables on a weary Munsters. Dunne adds the extras and the title goes to Mary's.
