Irish international Fergus McFadden seems poised to reclaim the coveted No 13 Leinster jersey for Saturday's Pro12 trip to in-form Italian side Treviso.

"Fergus had a bit of a run around today to see where he's at and we have a day off tomorrow, so we'll see how he responds to that," confirmed Leinster forwards coach Jono Gibbes.

"He had a pretty good rehab week last week, so I'd say he'll probably be the major player to return for us."

Lock Damian Browne (shoulder) could also come back into the selection mix, though a decision on his availability will be confirmed at Friday's lunchtime team announcement.

Steven Sykes has little chance of making the squad, however. "Steven has got concussion, so I think the medical team are guiding him and it is highly unlikely he will be considered," said Gibbes.

Mat Berquist (knee) has stepped up his rehabilitation in recent weeks and it is hoped that he will be available over the Christmas period, while it is thought that Dominic Ryan, who captained the 'A' side away against Esher RFC, will be out for between four and six weeks after sustaining an ankle injury.
