Stinger injury keeps O’Driscoll out of Leinster clash with Munster
BRIAN O’Driscoll is out of the Leinster team to face Munster in tomorrow night’s RaboDirect PRO12 clash.
O'Driscoll had hoped to be involved, but has been given another week to recover from the 'stinger' injury he suffered in New Zealand.
Leo Cullen leads a Leinster team which includes 13 Ireland internationals.
Centre Gordon D'Arcy, back row trio Jamie Heaslip, Shane Jennings and Sean O'Brien andprop Cian Healy all make their seasonal debuts for the province.
Isaac Boss partners Jonathan Sexton at half back, with D'Arcy linking up with Fergus McFadden at centre, with Isa Nacewa returning to the wing..
Meanwhile, ifiemi Mafi, Donncha O'Callaghan and Niall Ronan have been named in the Munster starting XV.
The trio are the only changes in personnel coach Tony McGahan has made to the team that beat Aironi last week. The experienced Mafi comes in for Danny Barnes.
Mafi will start alongside former Will Chambers in the centre.
Conor Murray and Ronan O'Gara are at scrum-half and out-half respectively, with Doug Howlett and Keith Earls on the wings and Johnny Murphy at full-back.
Damien Varley is named at hooker with South African duo Wian Du Preez and BJ Botha propping.
The second row sees the familiar Paul O'Connell and O'Callaghan partnership reunited. Donnacha Ryan moves to blindside flank.
